Hi all and a happy 2011..! I haven't been posting lately because I am currently "engaged" with personal issues as well as having to prepare myself for a change of job. Anyhow, I haven't been MS Excel-ing lately, but this is a work which I have done in 2010 (sounds pretty long ago, but it isn't..maybe around november 2010?). I call it the devil plane, not so sure why but it looks good in red. Anyhow the above image I have used photoshop to create some of the effects like the rotating propellers. It would like below if I haven't done any photoshopping:-
Just to prove that it is 3D..here's a side view of the plane.
And the plans of the plane basically:-
The plane, if you notice, is not that symmetrical (one wing looks longer than the other). It is a fault difficult to rectify as I have played a lot with the blending options, making it difficult to calculate the exact displacement.
More images and variation of the "devil" plane:-
I call this the stealth version, though it won't be so stealthy if it is propeller type anyways.
One in which I blend one of Windows' sample pictures with my Excel work (plug and paste).
Just a show as well that I do not only draw mechanical things, but also structures as well, I attach an image of an ongoing project below which shows the different views of a building I drew (well, not exactly to scale, but I fully utilize the 1584 length of the shape).
Basically its like a 5 storey apartment with huge windows and balcony per floor. It's 3D meaning you can rotate and view the building from different views. Main thing to get this right? remember the displacement for each floors.

Gundam and I-Durian
I designed a phone (well mostly looking at the current smartphones in the market) and sort of like had some fun with it and called it the I-Durian. Have a look at it.
Using excel, the phone was drawn.
Sometimes you notice in the brochures of some phones they have orthogonal views of the phone (I think it is called orthogonal if I'm not mistaken). Though it'd looked cool doing so. Oh yeah, this wallpaper here is the sample picture provided by Windows (in sample pictures). Noticed the durian logo at the back of the phone near the camera area? :P
Sort of like the advertisement for the phone. Black background, reflective surfaces..cool chromed writing..and one durian word at the top..!:) and one handsome guy's face licking a tower..a perfect advertisement!:P

So, I just gave it a shot using the excel program. I like that picture.
And here's one of my finally finished left-for-months drawing, another gundam actually. This gundam though is not 3D (meaning I can't simply flip it around like the cars i have previously drawn). It is a fixed view of the gundam. I didn't know what to name it, so I just called it the Gundam FXX.
I took sort of like a long time to complete this gundam, probably i sort of lost some interest in it because of the difficulty and the pose i wanted it to do..just couldn't quite figure it out. Suddenly everything just came gushing in and all the ideas just exploded on to the drawing. It then only took me like 2 hours to complete the legs (head alone took me 3 hours).
The background was also created in excel, supposingly portraying space, but it looks more of like a night sky view..
Before I forget..there's also another remake of the f1 oldies car..this time it is in 3D (can be flipped around this time unlike previous version).
I haven't got the time to upload more pictures of it up, maybe in the next post..till then, have a great weekend!
